1)
This build will help you to stay alive. It will make
you a formidable foe at higher levels and still allow you to be a great
assist/support character. In other words, you CAN go solo if you
want. Which you want to do. This will get you better drops from
enemies. 2) The great thing about a priest is they have some of the best buffs (spells that improve stats/abilities) in the game. So choose your profession accordingly. There are only two professions I would choose for a priest and that is Tailoring and Enchanting. This is because you already have great buffs so herbalism/alchemy isn't as helpful as it is with a mage or warrior. This will give you the opportunity to find those green and blue items and disenchant them to improve your own weapons and armor or sells enchants to make gobs of money. Because you will lose out on a lot of AH money in the beginning use tailoring to make bags and sell them to make up some of the lost income from drops that you disenchanted instead of selling. 3) Attacking enemies can be tedious at low levels. Here is my suggested attack pattern. From a distance: 4) Target enemy and move in until you can cast smite then: 5) Smite -> Shadow Word: Pain -> Smite -> Melee 6) I do this because of the casting time for smite, and after the second smite you may need to retain mana to heal. 7) As a priest Spirit is your best friend. I would stick with one hand maces or daggers. I would not go with two-hand because you can get some items that can be held to gain spirit. In my first 10 levels an enemy dropped a mug that gave me +2 spirit. So equip extras that can be held in your off-hand. Also spirit scrolls are helpful as well as armor that increases spirit so consider this when equipping. 8) As you gain levels you will have people begging you to quest with them. You can use your character to gain gold. Offer your services as a healer in exchange for gold. It works nearly every time. They need you a lot more than you need them. 9)
For Secondary professions build up first aid, this is a
dire need when your mana is low. Cooking is great too for health and
stamina. Fishing is not a necessity for you to build. It can come
in handy for cooking if you need a bit of food and don't want to buy/grind
for it. |
