2)      I use this build because you don’t steal aggro from your pet near as much as if you went marksman spec. You can slice through mobs easy and this is a good farming build for when you hit 60 or 70 as well.

3)      Before taming a pet lay a frost trap, if you have them. This will freeze the monster for 10 seconds or more depending on your level and stop them from attacking you constantly. This really helps with pets, like bears, that stun you and interrupt the cast. If your cast fails, it completes but the pet doesn’t tame, just feign death, cast it again, or run and redo when you lose aggro.

4)      When you tame a pet and get a new skill you don’t automatically get that skill. It has to be used a few times. I find it the easiest to take it off auto cast and manually press it until it says you have learned a new skill: (skill name)

5)      While you’re drinking, have your pet go attack something. This helps constantly gain XP as well as giving your pet more aggro, so you won’t steal it by hitting too hard.

6)      Use a macro to feed your pet. This saves time by not having to open up your bags and find the food every time you have to feed it. Here is a macro to set up for automatically feeding your pet.

        /cast Feed Pet

/script PickupContainerItem (2,2); Now the way this works, is the 2,2 is the container slot. Your main backpack doesn’t seem to count. So the 2nd bag is bag 1, the 3rd bag is bag 2 etc. 2,2 would mean it’s the 3rd bag, 2n’d slot from the upper left. Put your food there and when you hit the macro it will feed the pet that slot of food every time. Much easier

7)      Use bandages when Out of combat to heal your pet and Mend while in combat and you aren’t being hit. This will save mana.

8)      I use a cat as my pet the whole game. They do the best dps and have the best racials, especially as a Night Elf. Cats can get stealth and dash. Since  a NE can meld, you can stealth your cat and go afk or prey on the horde or hide while drinking and you see a mob incoming. I use the low lvl cat I get at the start because I like the cats and you never see anyone with a nightsaber. I get a nightsaber pet and mount to be sexy =P

9)      Using longer casting skills at the start saves mana because until it’s cast it still regens. You have to not use a mana skill for 5 sec before regen starts.

10)   It’s possible to FD and lay a trap in the middle of a fight, you have to put your pet on passive and stop it from attacking, then FD and lay a frost or whatever trap and get your distance.

11)   Improved aspect of the hawk and rapid fire stack. So if you see quick shots activate from IAOTH then pop up rapid fire, You’re now firing 70% faster.

12)   Even if a high level is ganking you, if they’re doing a spell with a charge up simply FD so it interupts them. Even if you die do this to piss them off.

13)   If you play on a pvp server, gank every horde you see regardless of how much lower they are than you. Because you’re gonna get ganked even if you don’t, might as well even the table. Don’t gank them if you’re in an area for a quest or farming, that is as long as they don’t mess with you. Most won’t because it goes from farming, to a ganking/corpse camping nightmare because no one wants to give up, and even if you do they might not stop
